Temasek Polytechnic has clinched the "Best Host of International Students Studying in Singapore" 2006 award given by the Singapore Toursim Board.

Temasek Polytechnic won the award for the special attention it pays to the well-being of its international students, and for providing an inviting and intellectually stimulating environment for learning and integration
of international students into the Singapore community.

International students who choose to study at Temasek Polytechnic therefore not only stand to obtain a diploma that is well recognised both in Singapore and overseas, but they can also rest assured that they will have a smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable learning experience during
their 3 year-course.

The Director of Temasek Polytechnic's International Relations and Industry Services, Ms Sally Chew, received the award from Mr S Iswaran, Minister of State for Trade and Industry at the inaugural Singapore Education Awards presentation ceremony on Friday, 23 March 2007.

The "Best Host of International Students studying in Singapore" award was one of 7 categories of awards introduced by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), to:

  • Recognize the contribution of stakeholders
  • Encourage stakeholders to achieve higher standards
  • Promote Singapore Education branding through a new platform
The inaugural Singapore Education Awards aim to recognise exceptional contributions made by members
of the Singapore education industry. It honours organisations and individuals in the education industry who champion the Singapore Education brand and deliver transformational and enlightening experiences to visitors from aboard.
