Crowned "Best Newcomer" at the Golden Melody Awards 2004 in Taiwan, JJ belted out 5 hits from his brand new album "89757", to the delight of the audience, comprising mainly TP Engineering students. More than a million copies of his earlier albums, "Voyager" and "Haven" have already been sold in Asia.
"It's really happening!" screamed a student after the concert.
"Probably the best thing to happen on the Singapore music scene since Stephanie Sun," declared another student.
The concert was jointly organised by YES 93.3FM and i.HUB (Diploma in Info-Communications).

About 1,500 Engineering students jam-packed the auditorium, while many others got locked out. One of the hottest girl-groups in Taiwan today, S.H.E. belted out 4 numbers from their new album "Beautiful New World" at the concert, which began at about 8.00pm
Tickets were distributed about a week before the concert. Students queued up for up to 4 hours to get the tickets, with many going home empty handed and disappointed. On the eve of the concert, tickets were going for up to $45 in the black market, according to a reliable source. But, as those who managed to get into the concert hall would testify, it was well worth it.
