Hady Mirza is the latest Singapore Idol 2006. At the Grand Finals held on 25 Sep 2006, Hady the hot favourite garnered the overwhelming majority of votes, trouncing his rival Jonathan Leong by snatching a massive 70% of the votes cast. Touted all along by the media as the best performeramong all contestants, it was no surpirse, as he is said to have an enormous fan base.

In another step forward for Singapore, Hady beat other national idols from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and other Asian countries, to claim the Asian Idol crown in a competition held on 16 Dec 2007.

Gwen Tang is, by her own admission, sexy. So it's not surprising that her idol is the provocatively-dressed singer Coco Lee. Gwen, 18, does not only dream of becoming a supermodel but she also wants to be an English-cum-Mandarin pop star, just like Coco. :I love being the centre of attraction. It makes me feel good," she purred.

She's a first-year Engineering student at Temasek Polytechnic.

When Gwen is not studying or singing, she enjoys playing Warcraft, a strategic cyber-game. Gwen, who has been an avid gamer for over two years, is planning to compete at the World Cyber Games to be held at Suntec City next month. One can imagine the egos that would be bruised if Gwen - as sexy as cyber-babe Lara Croft - were to beat the men. But don't be intimidated by her vampy looks. Gwen will tell you that she's actually an approachable person. "When I smile, people warm up to me," she said.
