GRADUATION 2008
A total of 1,716 students (full and part time) graduated at Temasek Engineering School's 3 Graduation ceremonies held on 21 & 22 May 2008.
Among the main medal winners was Mr Yap Leong Sun, a 51-year-old father of 2 whose stunning demonstration of the will to survive and battle the odds astounded the thousands watched him limp, with a walking stick, onto the stage to receive his Diploma in Electronics. Mr Yap, a former Staff Sergeant of the SAF Special Operations force who survived a 100-metre fall when his parachute failed to open in 1985, also won the prestigious Tay Eng Soon gold medal awarded to the top Engineering student who had graduated from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE).

GRADUATION 2007
A total of about 1,300 students (full and part time) graduated at Temasek Engineering School's 3 Graduation ceremonies held on 22 & 23 May 2007.
Temasek Engineering School's top student, Luo Enyu, grabbed the limelight by winning the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal, only one of which is usually awarded at each Polytechnic's graduation ceremony each year. Luo Enyu is also remembered for bringing honour to his School by winning the Gold medal in at the World Skills Singapore competition in November 2006, thereby earning the right to represent Singapore at the WSS World Finals in Japan in Nov 2007-- the first and only student from Temasek Polytechnic to achieve this.

GRADUATION 2006
A total of about 1,200 students (full and part time) graduated at Temasek Engineering School's 4 Graduation ceremonies held on 6 & 7 June 2006.
Top honours went to 43-year-old Peter Chan, an SAF army Warrant Officer and father of two, who took time off as an army regular to study full time at Temsaek Polytechnic. An inspiration to his much younger peers, Peter was, however, not at the graduation ceremony as he was part of the Singpaore humanitraian mission helping earthquake victims in Yogjakarta on that day. Winning the Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal was former ITE student, Goh Jian Hui who also topped his course in the Diploma in Computer Engineering. |

GRADUATION 2005
A total of about 1,300 students (full and part time) graduated at Temasek Engineering School's 4 Graduation ceremonies held on 13 & 14 July 2005.
The Lee Kuan Yew award was won by Chia Koon Seng, from the Diploma in Electronics. Koon Seng achieved an L1R5 aggregate of 11 at his "O" Level Exams, enough to see him to a top junior colleage. But he chose to study at Temasek Polytechnic, saying that "A polytechnic education gives me more hands-on experience and therefore greater depth in my area of study. I can still go to university. This is a more practical route to take!" |

Convention Centre (TCC). A total of 1,649 full-time and 137 part-time Engineering students graduated.
Top honours went to a part-time student, Mr Chiam Hock Kiong, who won the prestigious Tay Eng Soon Gold Medal, awarded each year to the top student who is formerly from an ITE. For excellence in both studies and CCA, Pattarin Kusolpalin was awarded the "Well-Rounded Student Award". |
