Temasek Polytechnic will train students of its 2 Aerospace diplomas, in accordance with the new SAR-66 standards set by the Civil Aviation Authorith of Singapore (CAAS) -- the first polytechnic in Singapore to do so.
The training will prepare students to take the SAR-66 exams conducted by the CAAS, so that they will be able to get credit exemptions when they go for professional Aircraft Maintenance Licence (AML) training after graduating from Temasek Polytechnic.
This means that students can get their AML much sooner after graduating from TP, compared to students who take other related diploma courses.
LTT's qualified instructors, as well as Temasek Polytechnic's lecturers who had been specially trained by LTT in Germany, will be conducting the training for Aerospace students in the Polytechnic.
To better facilitate this training of specialised manpower, an LTT Training Centre has been set up in Temasek Polytechnic, where both TP students and industry professionals will be trained. This is Singapore's newest well-equipped Aerospace training centre.
